Join us in Beijing or Shanghai to see what That’s Mandarin can bring to your summer! Our teaching methods are extremely varied to make sure every child stays as engaged as possible in our lessons. That’s why we incorporate games, drawing and other fun activities into our lessons. Everything we do, whether it is writing stories or playing games, it all encourages kids to use their Chinese; thus encouraging learning. The main aim is to increase vocabulary knowledge, improve pronunciation and listening skills, and develop spoken fluency in Chinese. To make sure our Summer Campers are constantly using what they have learnt, we use a variety of teaching methods including role plays and performances where they can show off what they have learnt. This technique is great for improving speaking and listening skills as well as building up confidence using Chinese. We believe that to learn a language effectively, it needs to be relevant to day-to-day life; that’s why we take trips off campus to places where campers can use the vocabulary they have been learning. Activities we use include buying vegetables at the market or buying museum entrance tickets giving campers the perfect platform to improve their Chinese speaking ability and build on grammar structures and vocabulary learnt during class.

We make living in China easy with airport pick-up, 3 meals per day and weekend activities! Live in the lap of luxury in our Western-style hotel accommodation. Varied class types and content; suitable for children of any Mandarin level aged between 12 and 17. All our teachers have taught for several years and are experienced with teaching under 18s. Enjoy our full program of cultural activities and field trips ( Previous destinations include the Great Wall and Ming Tombs, Confucius Temple, Beihai Park) as well as weekend excursions to see more of what China has to offer.
