Program Description:

Are you a recent graduate looking for a meaningful experience abroad before you begin your career at home? How about an education major looking for some teaching experience in the summer? Or just someone interested in a change of pace and an exciting adventure abroad? The Teach in Argentina Internship & Practicum program offers all that, and then some! By participating in the Teach in Argentina Internship & Practicum program, you can spend between 5 weeks and 12 months living in Argentina, teaching English to local students, and perfecting your Spanish skills! You will be placed in a school within Argentina, and your housing and meals will be provided with a local host family, so you'll be sure to have the most immersive and meaningful program possible. In addition to your teaching placement in a K-12 classroom, you'll have private weekly Spanish classes to really increase your language proficiency. And as a great bonus, you'll get a monthly stipend to help offset some of your expenses (like all those souvenirs you'll be cramming into your suitcase on the last day)!

TEFL Certification: If you are not already TEFL certified, you will enroll in Bridge's unique online TEFL certification program prior to beginning the internship, which includes 60 hours of general TEFL certification in addition to a 40-hour Young Learners specialization course, to really prepare you for life inside the K-12 EFL classroom! On-Site Teaching Experience: For this program, you may be placed in any region of Argentina and you will serve as a teaching assistant in the local classroom (schools, language institutes and universities are located all over the country). Your internship may combine working at a local school, participating in local English Immersion Camps, and English tutorials with your host family. Some placements may last for only one or two months, so depending on your program and placement duration, you may have the opportunity to work in a number of different educational environments during your time in Argentina!
