Program Description:

The BestFriend Korean Language & Culture Exchange Center is an institution designed for foreigners in Korea to have the opportunity to interact with real Koreans and practice and learn more about Korean language and culture. In this exchange, both foreigners and Koreans mutually benefit by learning about each others' languages and cultures!

Foreign language academy offers group Korean classes as well as individual intensive courses . In our Regular Korean Course, with each month of a course you take, you will learn Korean through our direct teaching method. Most classes have 4-5 other students (maximum, 8 students) who are equal to your level of Korean. Because of this pre-established system, you will be able to speak and write Korean on a practical level. In an intensive course, you will work one-on-one with your instructor and benefit from their undivided attention. You can choose between three days, one week, or two week long intensive course. These classes focus on Listening, Speaking, Grammar basics, Vocabulary, and Writing. Also during class, you will practice 1:1 conversation with the teacher, so you will learn to speak naturally. Special courses or class features include: Korean for Academic Purposes Korean for Business Purposes Small Classes (5 or less per class) Internships or Work Experience One-to-One / Private Lessons Lessons at Teacher's Home Short Programs (1 Week or Less) Test/Exam Preparation Internship Opportunties

Best Friend offers several different programs, and thus attracts Koreans studying foreign language, as well as foreigners studying Korean. Our students come from a vast range of nationalities, making for a constant exchange of different cultures and an international environment. In monthly culture classes you will experience Korean cuisine, traditional handicrafts, Seoul field trips, Salmulnori etc. Occasionally on Fridays, a cultural exchange party for Koreans and foreigners is held. You will be provided with a Korean Language Exchange Partner. Through meeting Korean friends, you have a great opportunity to effectively learn both Korean and aspects of Korean culture. In addition to language courses and cultural activities, airport pick-up and accomodation are provided.

Setting Description:

Located in the center of Shinchon, the most exciting university area in Seoul. Surrounded by Yonsei, Ehwa, Sogang, and Hongik Universities, this neighborhood provides everything one can need. Also located on the major circle metro line, this area is a short 15 minutes from the "downtown" area of Seoul.
