Program Description:

Milan is Italy's second largest city and the European Union's fifth largest urban area, and is a major center for fashion, finance, and commerce. This modern, cosmopolitan city is home to several trade and fashion shows year-round. In addition to being the location of Italy's stock exchange, Milan is home to many of Italy's cultural delights such as the Duomo, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, and Castello Sforzesco. Milan's metro and tram systems are easy to navigate and will get students around the city quickly as they explore all that the city has to offer. It won't be long before students feel right at home, immersed in true Italian culture. But as soon as they need an quick adventure, Milan's two international airports offer students the opportunity to easily travel anywhere in Europe.

ISA students have the opportunity to study business, economics, fashion merchandising, and Italian culture right in the middle of Italy's commercial and economic hub. In addition to taking courses alongside other international students, students also have the opportunity to enroll in select business and economics courses with locals that are taught in English. Milan is also perfect for Italian majors or any student with a high level of language proficiency as these students will be able to enroll in and sit in class alongside local, degree-seeking students at UCSC. Students will find a variety of courses available, but popular course topics include literature, history, psychology, and political science.

Setting Description:
The ISA Milan office is located in the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore campus. Our friendly resident staff will guide the students around the city, helping them engage in meaningful cultural experiences, as well as provide support during course enrollment and assist with housing, travel advice and Italian language tutoring.
