Program Overview

Program Description:

Our Spanish School in Oaxaca is located in the heart of Oaxaca's Historical Center, two blocks from the beautiful Santo Domingo ex-convent and 4 blocks from Oaxaca's Zocalo (downtown square). Due to the Center's location, students are surrounded by a number of cafes, art galleries, museums, shops and internet cafes.

Soléxico Campus Oaxaca is set in a typical colonial building with a large main patio where students get together during the breaks. This old style construction with thick colonial walls keeps the classrooms cool throughout the year.

Just 2 blocks from the beautiful 16th century Santo Domingo convent and 4 blocks from the Zócalo, our Oaxaca Spanish school location is as central as it gets. This privileged setting means that you’ll find a plethora of internet cafes, restaurants, museums and art galleries right in the vicinity

Office hours 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday

Structure of the course:

The minimum age is 16 years old

Starting dates: Any Monday (except beginners)

All levels from complete beginners to very advanced

20 Spanish lessons per week

From Monday to Friday

Spanish courses are held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and are composed of 3 lessons of practical conversational grammar and 1 lessons of practical conversation and/or lectures

This program consists of classes with an average of 4 students per class with a maximum of 6-8 students in high season

Duration: any number of weeks


Credits:

Students may receive credits for courses at Solexico through Brookhaven College

Also, students may receive credit at their university or college for courses taken at Solexico with a previous agreement between both institutions. Solexico also offers courses to prepare students for college Spanish placement exams and the D.E.L.E. (The official diploma of Spanish as a Second Language).
