Setting Description:
The Rhine Valley is one of Europe’s strongest economic regions and one of its most beautiful too. Its landscape is listed on the register of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Oestrich-Winkel, actually two small towns merged into one, rests on the banks of the Rhine River.  Although smaller than the cosmopolitan size of its near neighbor, Frankfurt, Oestrich-Winkel boasts a wide variety of activities including, The Lenchenfest (a wine festival), the Dippemarkt (a market with a funfair), the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) and Jazzwoche (Jazz Week).
