Program Description:

Study German in Germany! We offer German courses all year round to students from those with little or no knowledge of German to those who already have an intermediate knowledge. These courses are directed at foreign students who wish to embark on a degree/masters course at any German university. Each module will conclude with a final examination. Certificates will be awarded for every successfully completed module. On passing the German DSH examination (at the end of the course), a certificate will be awarded: this certificate serves as evidence that you fulfil the language requirements for admission to a German university degree course. Module I: Courses A1 and A2 (beginner level) with a total of 378 teaching units (each unit lasting 45 minutes) Module II: Courses B1 and B2 (intermediate level) with a total of 386 teaching units Module III: Course C1 (advanced level) and preparation course for the DSH examination with a total of 222 teaching units

The course participants will take intensive German classes five days a week which will enable them to learn German very quickly. They will be taught by experienced lecturers. Extracurricular activities will be guided by tutors who are also available to help the course participants with any questions or problems that might arise.

Setting Description:

Widely considered one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, Passau is situated in the southern foothills of the Bavarian Forest at the confluence of the rivers Danube, Inn and Ilz. Passau is also known as the "Venice of Bavaria". The region around Passau has a lot to offer its visitors, such as the long-distance Danube cycling trail, the spa triangle and the Bavarian Forest with its beautiful sights and pristine nature, perfect for cycling, hiking, water sports, golf, cross-country and alpine skiing and snowboarding, mountaineering and abseiling, or just plain old relaxing in a natural spa in one of Bad Füssing or Bad Griesbach's famous thermal spas. One special feature of the region is that it is so close to the Czech Republic and Austria, allowing for day trips to beautiful towns with an ancient culture, and don't forget to sample the exquisite Bohemian and Upper Austrian cuisine.
