Program Description:

Full Access Arabic combines a systematic classroom curriculum with hours of conversation in spoken Arabic. Your instructor will ensure you’re speaking Arabic each day in the classroom and will help you properly implement the spoken Arabic concepts and vocabulary you’re learning. Meanwhile, we ensure you have ample opportunity to interact with Lebanese in the community. The curriculum is tested and refined, and visiting in the community is key. That’s why we can make a promise: you will be equipped with everything you need to actually speak Arabic.

Full Time Spoken Arabic Study This track is designed for students wanting to excel in spoken Arabic. If you choose this track, please consider learning the spoken dialect your full time job. Expect to devote 40 hours a week to classroom hours, study time, and visits. Your ALPS instructor will ensure you're speaking Arabic each day in the classroom; further, you will be held to a high level of accountability about implementing the spoken Arabic concepts and vocabulary you're learning. With our refined curriculum and class sizes of no more than 5 students, you will be equipped with all you need to speak Arabic with confidence. Internship Track This track is designed for those who want to study spoken Arabic for a shorter period of time in order to be more involved in the community. Use your experience and skills at an internship, or volunteer with an NGO, and gain valuable cross-cultural experience. We will take the time to personally meet with you and learn your skills, desires, and objectives so we can connect you to the Lebanese company or organization that best suits you.

Full Access Arabic opens doors for unique opportunities for you to meet new people. You'll learn Arabic in the context of friendship, family, life, and work. Every student enrolled in the program has access to the following components: Conversation Partners Instead of spending your time in Beirut searching for people with whom to practice Arabic, simply meet up with one of our Lebanese conversation partners at a coffee shop. We do all the legwork to pair you with conversation partners that share your interests and can helpfully interact with you at your particular Arabic level. Although we provide you with conversation templates, you can talk about whatever subject you desire. There's only one rule: spend 50% of your time speaking Arabic and 50% speaking English. This ensures you both can learn from each other. Meeting with peers who are motivated to learn a second language will give you a far better return on your time than you could get on your own. If English isn't your first language, don't worry, there are many Lebanese who are studying various European languages. We can introduce you to conversation partners who are studying your native language. Huddle All students enrolled in Full Access Arabic are invited to a coffee break for tips, cultural insights, and feedback with a CGE Representative who has been in the region for many years. This is a great time to ask questions and exchange stories while enjoying some great coffee at Cafe Younes, one of the many local gems.
