Program Description:: Franklin University Switzerland is an English-speaking, US- and Swiss-accredited non-profit university based in Lugano. The university offers bachelor’s and master’s programs, foundation programs and summer courses in a highly international academic learning environment. With a core foundation in the liberal arts, Franklin's experiential and personalized approach to education fosters cross-cultural awareness and critical thinking, preparing students to become responsible global citizens in an increasingly complex world.

Franklin University Switzerland offers a highly innovative, internationally-focused liberal arts undergraduate curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Students explore a wide range of disciplines – over 19 programs of study that include Academic Travel courses to destinations across the globe. Our flexible programs of study enable students to partially design their own academic path, depending on their interests and the career they wish to pursue. All students gain a set of common competencies and skills by the end of their program.

The program features an extensive academic travel program which includes a two-week trip each semester to destinations in Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and South and North America.

Franklin's residential campus overlooks Lake Lugano and the foothills of the Swiss Alps, and is just a 15 minute walk from the center of the city. The student body represents over 50 nationalities.
