Program Description:

The Master Course in Event Management helps students develop the tools and business skills in law, finance, human resources and marketing that are pertinent to the events industry. As companies push for more international business relations, the demand for event managers is expected to rise, making it one of the strong-growing professions in the global marketing industry of the next years. Participants in this program will learn all stages in the events management process, through a variety of subjects. Event planning class will introduce them on how to conceptualize projects, sharing ideas with other students, while improving knowledge of accessible resources and vendors. They will also acquire the foundation of event Logistics and Communications, that is, how to manage volunteers, caterers, sounds and light technicians, and other resources. Focus is also placed on Fundraising and Sponsorship strategies, acquiring the necessary knowledge about: submitting winning proposals, event marketing, securing sponsorship and donors, auction. At the end of the program, students are expected to present their event projects – based on the precise parameters and assignments given during the course – completed with all necessary details concerning theme, budget, objectives, target, etc.

1)Our teaching staff is composed of top level native Italian artists and designers; 2)The student-teacher ratio is kept small (up to 8 students per professor) in order to facilitate students to learn quickly and effectively. 3)The majority of our students are people with already some experience in their field of study, who want to improve their skills and reach top-level preparation. Our graduates have a very high level of technical expertise, necessary to break through the professional market or to start up a career.

Art visits on Fridays, Computer and Free Wifi available in the school building, English/Italian/Spanish interpreter service, Student support, Italian language lessons, Internship placement, collaboration with local companies/laboratories. ////// The main characteristic of the Master is that the student decides a specific theme/technique to master, and with his/her professor's guidance, will develop a personalized curriculum, according to his/how goals and preferences. The unique feature of our Master is the so called "corporate research", a joint project in collaboration with an Italian atelier/studio that takes place in the second semester of the academic year.

Setting Description:

The school building is an ancient palace located conveniently in the historical centre of Florence, few minutes waling from the Duomo and St. Lorenzo church.
