Program Overview

Program Description:
This is an international cultural exchange program. You will be arranged to live in one host family in Beijing, Guangzhou, Dalian or other big cities. You will have your fine decoration room with internet access and also 3 meals. In addition, you'll get at least 1000RMB pocket money every month. It is enough for you to buy some beer, chololate and clothes. We'll also afford your health and travel insurance. As for your flight tickets, you have to buy it by yourself. However, if you could complete your program successfully, we'll pay you the air allowance, up to 10,000RMB, which is enough for you to travel all over China and some nearby countries such as Thailands and Indonisia.

In China, the host families that could afford the fees to invite an au pair are mostly upper classes of the Chinese society. They usually treat au pairs as an English teacher. Au pairs just need to teach the children English in most cases. Apart from teaching, au pairs are only supposed to pick up the children from school, playing games with them, or go shopping with them. That is to say, Chinese host family do not need au pairs do the housework, but would like au pairs to improve their children’s oral English and widen their horizons.

Setting Description:
Your duty is to play with the kids (in most cases, only one kid) and talk with him/her in English 25 hours a week. Normally, the kid need to go to school during the daytime, so your work time is alway from 17:00-21:00. That means, you'll have whole daytime to do what you want to do. Doing some part-time jobs, sports, shopping, martial arts, Taiji, Chinese painting, or just lying in your bed. You'll get 2 continous days' off every week.
