Program Overview

Program Description:
This four-week program focuses on “Biogeography in an Australian Context”. The program consists of field trips to observe the ecology and biodiversity of diverse Australian habitats, supplemented with readings, videos, and class discussions. Students are expected to come away with first-hand knowledge of Australian biodiversity gained through personal observation, and an understanding of the basic issues of conservation biology, ecology, and evolution.

Based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, the program travels to the Northern Territory, the Great Barrier Reef and tropical rain forest of northern Queensland.
