Q. Are the courses accredited or credit bearing? What's the difference? A. BCCS Dog Behaviour Diploma courses are in the process of accreditation but are non-credit bearing. Accreditation assures the quality of the course provider. Non-credit bearing courses are delivered outside the QCF (Qualifications and Credits Framework), enabling students to learn for personal and professional development rather than for academic credit. The dog training and behaviour industry is sadly not regulated. This means there is no official qualification required. Nor is there an official organisation to recognise your qualifications, even if you've studied to Degree level. Various organisations have their own membership requirements. The BCCS is not affiliated with any such organisation.
