Program Description:

Imagine ancient foods, medicines, and rituals around every turn as skyscrapers tower overhead. In Shanghai, this is the norm of everyday life. You'll study at the world-renowned East China Normal University (ECNU) and have the option to participate in a part-time internship. Through various events and excursions, you will learn about the world around you and use the city as your classroom. Shanghai is the place where the past and future collide, allowing you to enjoy traditional culture among modern technology.

The program includes tuition, residential housing on the ECNU campus, a variety of fun and social cultural events and activities, comprehensive insurance, and full pre-departure and on-site support from CAPA staff including a 24-hour emergency line.

Setting Description:
The CAPA Shanghai Global Cities Program is centrally located at East China Normal University’s (ECNU) downtown campus in the Putuo District. Also known as the “Garden University,” the campus boasts lots of open space, bridges, canals, and gardens. You will have access to a variety of facilities at ECNU, including sports facilities and a swimming pool for a small fee. Two metro lines serve the campus, making it accessible to the rest of the city.
