Program Description:

Barcelona is one of the most exciting cities in the world. Filled with everything from a thriving sports scene to some of the most beautiful beaches, this city offers a little something for everybody. The CAPA center is hosted at Institute for American Universities (IAU), located in the downtown Placa de Catalunya area and close to Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. Our programs offer many courses taught in English, as well as Spanish language courses in a range of levels. This program includes excursions and other events that use Barcelona’s cultural diversity to draw upon what you see around you as you learn.

Earn 12-18 semester credits, or 6 credits in the summer. You will be able to take part in an English or Spanish-speaking internship, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself into the Spanish culture and give your resume a boost. Our blend of academic and observational education gives you the best possible in-class and out-of-class learning experience. Our approach to personalized education allows you to take classes pertaining to your interests, giving you an individualized experience abroad.

The program is accessible and includes tuition; your choice of housing in shared apartments or homestays; a local transit pass; a Full-day excursion to Girona, Figueres and Dali museum; access to a variety of fun and social cultural events and activities; comprehensive insurance; and full pre-departure and on-site support from CAPA staff.
