Program Overview

Program Description:

Students immerse themselves in a pure Spanish academic experience at the Universidad de Burgos.

Boston University's new program in Burgos offers students the opportunity to enroll directly in the University of Burgos (UBU), a modern university centered in a medieval complex of buildings that was once part of the Camino de Santiago. The program will provide an excellent opportunity for students who prefer to live and study in a smaller city where there are very few Americans and very little English spoken.

Per semester costs includes tuition, room and board, excursions, round-trip airfare, on-site orientation, and pre-approved or selected limited cultural reimbursements. Financial aid is available.

Setting Description:
Boston University has an office located at the UBU, where there will be a BU staff member available on a permanent basis supervising day to day life in Burgos. In addition, Boston University's Madrid office staff will come to Burgos on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to meet with students. The Office of International Relations at UBU will help students with academic and administrative questions and other guidance on a daily basis. Students will share double rooms with Spanish students in UBU's modern residence halls. The dorms are equipped with study areas and dining halls in which students can take all their meals.
