Program Description:

The courses are organized by thematic areas regarding both drawing and the techniques of representation, the interior design project, the history of architecture related to the morphology of human habitations, technologies and materials. Each course is developed in workshops that link the theoretical lessons to laboratory work providing immediate feedback and verification with teachers. Each year is divided in two semesters. The Interior Design projects, essential for the didactic formation and controls of the collateral topics, are annual or biannual. To the didactic activity, during the year, are integrated guided visits to exhibitions, cultural activities, worksites and firms as well as historic buildings of interest to the topics being studied. During the course, all students will make two internships, one during the second year and another one during the third year, in a firm or Architecture Studio, completely provided by ISAD.

The aim of the 3 years-course is to prepare the students to face with skills and sensibility the concrete responsibilities of the profession. That’s why during the formation, a significant place is occupied by courses that technically deal with the use of materials and installations, but also the graphic and communicative methods to present and develop the work in a professional way. ISAD’s Bachelor is proposed as a preparation for the profession of interior design. Aimed at high-school/graduate students, the 3 years-course is accredited by E.A.B.H.E.S.. At the end of the formation, the student acquires a European Degree with 180 ECTS credits.
