Program Description:
The BA Program in Business Administration is a four-year program offered by the University of Nicosia in partnership with the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy. The Business Administration program of study is for students who wish to develop the necessary skills and talents to be leaders in a rapidly changing, global business environment. Students will be exposed to challenges and opportunities to enhance their personal and career horizons. The program is taught by faculty, who have a wealth of teaching, research, and real world business experience, and who will provide the necessary tools for an all-round educational experience. After the successful completion of the program, students will be able to: -Demonstrate knowledge of business processes and an ability to assess industry attractiveness, identify risks and opportunities of doing business in a global environment. -Choose and apply appropriate quantitative or qualitative methodologies to analyze problems and utilize modern technological and analytical tools necessary to support decision-making in organizations. -Develop leadership and organizational skills towards communicating vision, inspiring employees and promoting innovation and change. -Identify and evaluate ethical issues and communicate justifiable resolutions for practical situations. -Demonstrate proficiency in communication and develop teamwork skills. The unique thematic focus of this degree and will qualify students for all career options that a traditional BA Program in Business Administration would, however in addition the program guarantees to provide students with additional expertise in the field of cultural diplomacy, a new and attractive field of studies, which is currently offered as an academic field only through the Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy. This particular emphasis on Cultural Diplomacy and its historical and contemporary application in the public sector, private sector and civil society, provides students with expertise in three distinct academic fields, thus with an academic and practical advantage in the European and Global Arena. In addition to required coursework, the program includes educational & cultural events, conferences, professional trainings, tours, visits and meetings with foreign officials, which are further incorporated into the curriculum. Students will meet with leading experts working in international organizations, embassies, and academic institutions, and will engage with specialists in the areas of International Relations & Economics, Business, Communication, Politics, Human Rights, Culture, Peace Building, Multilateral Diplomacy, Conflict Resolution, and Development. The program provides students with practical experience for both academic and professional development, preparing students for careers in diverse fields, such as international relations, the humanities, politics, and culture, foreign policy and international economics. On a practical level, the international environment of the Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies offers students a unique opportunity to interact with leading experts and academics at a wide variety of international organizations and research centers. This unique structure of the program provides the students with the advantage of learning in 2 different major European cities and thus the opportunity to gain academic, professional and personal experience from living in different cultures. Furthermore, the program’s structure provides a unique opportunity to benefit from the study environment in both an international non-governmental organization and a traditional private University. The program follows the conventional university structure of a four academic years’ program divided into eight semesters. Students are offered elective courses to accompany mandatory courses, professional development experience and the final thesis. The first 2 semesters will take place in the Center of Cultural Diplomacy Studies (CCDS) in Berlin. The semester will consist of three mandatory modules and two elective courses. The second semester will consist of the professional development program and 2 elective courses. In the second academic year students will continue to the Nicosia University in Nicosia, Cyprus for the 3rd-8th Semesters.

Setting Description:
The program is composed of 8 Semesters (4 Academic Years). Date of commencement: October, May, July each year. Next start dates Fall Semester 2015: October 1st, 2015; Winter Semester 2016: February 8th, 2016; Fall Semester 2016: October 3rd, 2016. Semester 1 (Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies; Berlin, Germany) The main priority of the curriculum for the first semester is to provide students with a solid foundation and understanding of the history and contemporary practice of Cultural Diplomacy, as well as future applications of the field. Cost:
The tuition cost is 23,640 Euros for the full program (5,910 Euros/Academic Year). The fees cover only the tuition fees, and do not include housing or any other living costs and related expenses.
