The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is among the best academic centers in Spain and the European Union, both for the quality of its teaching staff and for its excellent research.

Athena's Barcelona program has field trips and excursions INCLUDED in the price of the program. Destinations can vary by term, but potential field trips may include: Madrid, The Pyrenees, Valencia, Sitges, Girona and Figueres and others
