- Our Archeological Summer Camp is an excellent opportunity to learn, participate, explore and further on-site archeological investigations for all lovers of archeology, history and art – whatever their age and experience. The programs are, in fact, open to students from elementary to university levels; activities, excavation and research are tailored accordingly, naturalmente.
Camps are organized in six-day sessions, from Monday to Saturday, during the months of June, July and September; students and schools can register for more than one session, either consecutively or seperately. Activities include: classes on techniques/methods of excavation; documentation, field notes, surveying, photography, restoration, cataloging; guided tours.
Excavation rights have been granted to the Coop by the Italian Ministry of Heritage and Culture for the Roman Villa in Via San Rocco, San Salvo. The Coop also manages the Archaeological Park of the Quadrilatero in San Salvo, and the Archaeological Museum of Vastese, in the nearby town of Monteodorisio. Participants will have hands-on experience,work side by side with their peers, and experienced professionals.

- Our Summer Camps are in San Salvo, in Abruzzo, the land of the Samnites and Frentani as well as Ovid, Sallust, Benedetto Croce, Flaiano of Fellini fame, and many others; 5 minutes from the Adriatic Sea, participants young and old will enjoy the sandy beaches, the small-town lifestyle, and our summer camp, naturalmente.
- Cost:
- Cost per week: € 150.00 per participant. Accommodations can be chosen from our associated bed & breakfasts. Rates in June, with breakfast: 25 euro per person per night, double occupancy; in July, euro 30 per person, double occupancy. Packed lunch: 5 euro. Dinner at associated restaurant: 20 euro. Total: approx. 500. Additional costs: airport transfer and ground transfer, not included. Optional:Italian language & culture; wine-tasting; guided tours.
