Alt Studio allows the student to benefit from two major influences. As a student, one will receive instruction in film, video and/or still photography from a talented and unique group of working-professional faculty. The Alt Studio teachers have been nominated for Academy Awards, worked on projects for The Discovery Channel, History Channel, A+E, and have had work published in The New York Times, LIFE Magazine, The London Sunday Times. In intimate workshops, both technical and critical guidance will be offered. The second major influence is the total immersion in the culture of Italy. The student will live and work in an incredibly unique environment in the heart of one of the most special places on earth: Tuscany. The student artist can respond, adjust, record, and create influenced by the rich sensory input of the timeless surroundings. Rounding up the five-week program, a group show/opening and a night of screenings of all Alt Studio work will take place in Lucca. Following the students’ return to the United States, the same show of work will be exhibited in New York in September 2016. Lodging and studio space will be provided in Lucca, as well as exhibition space for the final screening and photo exhibitions. Apply Here: http://www.altstudiotuscany.com/apply/
