ALBA Study Abroad in Barcelona provides unique academic and cultural opportunities for quarter study abroad in Barcelona as well as Barcelona internships, service learning and semester abroad in Barcelona and Girona. ALBA is accredited through Portland State University (Portland,Oregon), hosting students from a variety of U.S. and international colleges and universities. ALBA offers an extensive offering of dynamic and challenging courses each with a unique cultural and experiential learning focus. ALBA has the unique ability to accommodate students for quarter study abroad in Barcelona as well as semester abroad in Barcelona and Girona. ALBA is a relatively smaller and more specialized accredited university program for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for general learners who come to study and gain Spanish fluency and cultural immersion.

The ALBA program is not only unique in its size and diversity of study areas offered for quarters, semesters, summer intensives and year-round, but maintains a competitively priced, culturally rich and schedule-flexible program that is of genuine appeal to undergraduate and graduate students of varying academic and cultural backgrounds. Our students originate from a variety of colleges and universities (UCLA, Portland State, University of Washington and Oregon State among others) as well as Ivy league schools (Dartmouth College, Stanford).

Setting Description:

ALBA Study Abroad has it's own private facilities (classrooms, internet lounge, library, travel and accommodation services) located in the direct center of Barcelona's Barrio Gótico near the old port and beaches. ALBA professors are staff of local university faculty (University of Barcelona, Universitat de Pampeu Fabra) offering small group, accredited classes in English in a variety of study areas.
