Program Description:

Our annual Acting Summer School offers a choice of subject areas taught by industry experts in our professionally equipped studios in Brighton, Sussex, England. This is an exciting opportunity to extend your skills or develop new ones. Applications from speakers of English as a second language are welcome but please note that all of ACT's courses are taught in English and are practical and active.

The subject areas are; Stanislavski, Shakespeare and Screen Acting. These are week long courses which run Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Depending on the subject there is either a performance, screening or exercise on the final Friday. You are welcome to invite guests to attend final performances & screenings. You can choose to participate in just one or do more (fee discounts apply).

Students will receive an ACT certificate of completion.

Setting Description:

Brighton & Hove is a vibrant cosmopolitan city of 250,000 people, and an ideal place for international students to live and study. It’s a popular seaside town with the beautiful Sussex countryside only minutes away and excellent transport links to London, with quick and easy access to the international airports of Heathrow and Gatwick by rail and coach. Brighton is famous for its arts and culture and each year hosts England's biggest curated mixed arts festival; The Brighton Festival.

Cost:

Fees - Classes only accommodation is not included. £200 for one week £350 for two weeks £450 for three weeks £600 for four weeks There is an additional fee of £50 for Screen Acting for technical costs which includes a professional camera operator. A concessionary rate of £175 (for one week) is available to those in receipt of statutory benefits, student card holders and Equity members. Evidence of eligibility will be required. To book a place a non refundable deposit of £100.00 (per person)
